By default this site sets no cookies at all. Here’s exactly what’s stored in your browser, what changes if you opt in to analytics, and how to change your mind.
Effective date: July 21, 2026. This page explains what this site stores in your browser and the choice we ask you to make. The short version: by default this site sets no cookies at all — analytics run only if you opt in.
Two small values may be kept in your browser’s local storage (not cookies — they are never transmitted to us and stay on your device until you clear your browser data):
Both are functional. Neither tracks you, and neither is shared with anyone.
If you click Accept analytics in the banner, we may load Google Analytics 4 to understand in aggregate which pages and articles are useful — visit counts, referral sources, approximate (city-level) location from an anonymized IP. GA sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, which persist for up to two years. We use this data only to improve the site’s content, and we don’t use advertising features or share it for advertising. If analytics are not currently enabled, accepting simply records your consent for when they are.
Our GitHub page fetches our public repositories directly from GitHub’s API in your browser; that request goes to GitHub and is subject to GitHub’s privacy statement. It sets no cookies on this site.
You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time:
You can also block or delete cookies entirely through your browser settings; because this site works without cookies, nothing breaks if you do.
If our use of cookies changes — for example, if analytics are switched on — we will update this page and the effective date above. Questions: contacts@auspertech.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
This site uses essential browser storage only. With your OK, we’d also use analytics cookies to understand which content is useful. No choice is required — “Essential only” changes nothing. Cookie policy
